NYC Potty Training (motto: We train. You relax.) offers a two-day, in-home potty training with the company founder Samantha Allen for $1,750. A two-day session with a teacher Allen has shared her methods with costs someone costs $1,260 and a “professional” trained by Allen costs $570. Allen recommends the two-day package for typically developing toddlers, although half and one-day sessions are available too. NYC Potty Training also offers a 45-minute phone consultation for $200 and other off-site services via phone, text and Skype.
Is this the height of ridiculousness, and something only rich people would do, or does it make sense? Would it be worth it to you to spend the money on an expert who can get the job done in two days, rather than drawing out the pain of potty training over six months time?
